How it works

Three steps. About ten minutes.

You keep your number and your phone system. Velzia picks up when you don't.

  1. Forward your line

Turn on call forwarding from the number you already have: all calls, after hours, or only when nobody picks up.

The life of a call

One call, start to finish.

Scroll through a single after-hours call, from the first ring to the summary in your inbox.

  1. 11:47 p.m.

    The phone rings.

Your office closed hours ago. A new caller was just in a car accident and wants a lawyer tonight.

  2. 11:47 p.m.

Velzia answers and says who it is.

First sentence: it is the firm's virtual assistant. Then it listens, in English or Spanish.

  3. 11:49 p.m.

    Your intake questions, ticked off.

Your questions, in your order. Answers are captured while the caller talks, and names go to your conflict check.

  4. 11:51 p.m.

The caller’s preferred time is noted.

Velzia asks when the caller can meet. Booking straight into your calendar is on our roadmap.

  5. 11:52 p.m.

The summary lands in your inbox.

Caller, facts, urgency, conflict-check names and the transcript. Ready when you are.

Practice areas

Intake that knows your practice.

  2. Was anyone hurt, and have you seen a doctor?Injuries, ER visit, treatment
  3. Who was the other party, and who insures them?Names for your conflict check

Flags as urgent: a hospital stay, or a filing deadline you set.

Safety & compliance

Built to be trusted with your phones.

Velzia is careful by design. It tells callers what it is, stays out of legal advice, and keeps a written record of every call.

The first sentence of every call

“Hi, you've reached the law office. I'm Velzia, the firm's virtual assistant. How can I help?”

Security

Encrypted connections, limited access and U.S. data processing, explained in plain English.

Read about security

Never gives legal advice

It collects facts, notes when the caller can meet and hands off to your team. Legal questions go to an attorney.

Says it's a virtual assistant in the first sentence

Callers always know who they are talking to. Anyone who asks for a person gets a detailed message passed to your team.

Transcripts, not recordings, by default

You get a written transcript of every call. Audio recording is off unless you turn it on, and where state law requires consent, callers are told at the start of the call.

Your data stays yours

Caller details are used only to serve your firm and are never sold. Ask us to export or delete them at any time.

Pricing

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Still unsure? Email hello@velzia.ai and a person will answer.

Will callers know it's AI?

Yes. Velzia says it is the firm's virtual assistant in its first sentence. If a caller asks for a person, it takes a detailed message for your team. Live transfer is a planned feature.

Does it give legal advice?

No. Velzia collects facts, books consultations and passes everything to your team. If a caller asks a legal question, it explains that an attorney will answer and offers the next open consultation.

How does call forwarding work?

You turn on forwarding with your phone carrier or phone system. Forward all calls, only after-hours calls, or only calls nobody answers. During the pilot we walk you through it for your carrier, and you can turn it off anytime.

Can it speak Spanish?

Yes. Velzia hears when a caller switches to Spanish and switches with them, mid-call. Your summary still arrives in English, with the caller's own words kept where they matter.

What happens with urgent calls?

You set the rules, for example an arrest in the last 24 hours, someone detained, or a hospital stay. Velzia puts the call at the top of your summary, marked urgent. Live transfer and texts to your on-call attorney are planned. If someone says they are in danger, it tells them to call 911 first.

Can I keep my number?

Yes. You keep your number and your phone system. Velzia only answers the calls you forward to it.

Pilot program

Answer every call, day or night.

We are onboarding a small group of pilot law firms and set everything up with you.
